3 coffee stops you must try in downtown Danvers, MA.
Not every great coffee day starts in a picture-perfect neighborhood. Sometimes the best cups are hiding in plain sight, on a stretch of street you might normally pass without a second thought. That is exactly what makes this little coffee crawl so fun. Within just a short walk, you can stop at three cafés that each deliver seriously good drinks, cozy vibes, and plenty of reasons to linger a little longer.
If you love turning a simple coffee run into a mini adventure, consider this your guide to sipping your way down one street, one cup at a time.
Kaffmandu Coffee House
The building for Kaffmandu has been a coffee shop for as long as I can remember. As a little kid I’d always see people sitting outside with their cups or waiting to go inside the small café. It started out as the Custom Cup and was bought by Om and renamed Kaffmandu’s in honor of his hometown in Nepal.
You can’t talk about Kaffmandu and not talk about Om. He worked at the Custom Cup before buying the place himself and taking it to the next level. Everyday Om is there to greet you and brew your coffee, "I like my customers to call me Om. I want them to feel like a guest in my home when they come in" (Wicked Local, 2014). He is full of life and humor, constantly cracking jokes and making you feel welcomed.
Not only is it worth stopping in to chat with Om, but the coffee is amazing. I drink most coffee, hot, lattes and especially iced (you don’t grow up in New England without feeling butterflies in your stomach when you see an iced Dunkies). Kaffmandu has my favorite iced coffee ever.
I know nothing about brewing coffee, at home I stick to instant. However, I’ve got to think it takes a special kind of skill to make the perfect iced coffee. Om has mastered the iced coffee game (sorry Dunks). The iced coffee flavors are brewed, meaning that the bean itself is flavored, which doesn’t add any sugar. Every sip is amazing.
Not only is the coffee amazing, but it’s fair trade!
Rebel Coffee and Creamery
Also nestled in downtown Danvers is Rebel Coffee and Creamery.

The café has a section aptly named “specialty drinks.” They are what magic must taste like. My favorite is the Iced Kingdom Trails: espresso, oat milk, Vermont maple syrup and pink Himalayan salt. Every sip is delicious and leaves me wanting more!
They also have homemade baked goods. I’m obsessed with spinach and feta croissants. Their scones are also amazing. I’m always coming up with an excuse to stop in (which is hard seeing as I work from home).
They also use ethically sourced and locally roasted coffee. We love supporting local businesses! Rebel is also locally owned and operated by 3 guys from the North Shore, who also happen to be the nicest group of people. The minute I walk in the door they greet me with smiles and chit chat. They almost always recognize me, even though I try to limit my caffeine intake and go every so often. Even when I happen to choose Kaffmandu one day, they’ll always take a moment to ask how I am. It’s a wonderful business run by more wonderful people!
Daily Harvest Café
A little farther down the street from the other two stops, Daily Harvest Café is absolutely worth the extra steps. Over the past few years they have really stepped up their game, especially when it comes to fun specialty lattes that feel creative and seasonal without being over the top. And yes, this is the spot behind the viral coffee bucket, which makes it a must-visit for anyone doing the full coffee crawl.

Daily Harvest is locally owned, and that neighborhood feel shows in both the space and the menu. Their food selection is genuinely impressive for a coffee shop, with plenty of options if you’re ready to turn your caffeine stop into a full breakfast or lunch. You truly cannot go wrong with the classic American breakfast wrap. It’s hearty, comforting, and exactly what you want after a morning of sipping your way down the street.

This is the kind of local spot that keeps people coming back, and it earns its place on this coffee crawl every single time.
Final Sip
At the end of the day, this crawl is really about celebrating three truly great, locally owned coffee shops that are doing things right. Each one brings its own personality, creativity, and care to every cup, and it’s pretty special to have all three on the same street.
If you’re someone who loves supporting local businesses and discovering new favorite drinks along the way, this is a coffee run worth turning into a ritual. One street, three local gems, and plenty of reasons to keep coming back.
