Santa Barbara Café's

There's nothing better than good coffee and avocado toast as you grind.

I love working at cafe's. It reminds me of my time studying abroad, when I would find cute cafés tucked in unlikely alleys.

There's also something romantic about working in tandem with strangers, wondering what they're typing away at. Are they also in marketing, working on data and spreadsheets? Could they be an author, sneaking away for some creative inspiration? Maybe a professor grading exams? Who knows, the possibilities are endless!

After a week in Santa Barbara we worked in countless cafe's, soaking up all the Wi-Fi and electricity:

Lighthouse Coffee

The pinnacle café for working. The space feels like it's designed for remote workers. The seats are lined with people chugging away on their respective tasks. There's booths with outlets to charge laptops, phones and tablets. The Wi-Fi is also super fast, enabling meetings with 20 plus users. Outdoor seating provides another area to work and take calls while still being connected to the internet.

You also can't beat the food and coffee! I got a latte and cucumber toast, chef's kiss. It was exactly what I needed after signing on to work at 5:30 am.

The staff is also friendly and welcoming. Greeting you at 6:30 am with smiling faces and performing group dances to T-Pain.

Cajé Coffee Roasters

Bella Rose

This might be my favorite café in Santa Barbara. The space is adorable, with plants hanging on the wall and around the bar. The seating is also ideal for working. I can type, type, type while charging my devices and enjoying a latte.

Regulars constantly come in, chatting with the baristas. It's obvious the customers are loyal to the delicious drinks and kind staff.

I haven't even got to the best part, the drinks! Oh my word. They have the most beautiful drink displays. Even if I tried couldn't imagine something so beautiful. I got the Bella Rose, which is matcha with strawberry. It was gorgeous, and insanely delicious! Definitely stop in for one of their specialty drinks!

Jupiter's Forrest

Dune Coffee Roasters

Another great place to get some tasks checked of the list is Dune Coffee Roasters. The atmosphere is super inviting with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. The piles of pastries on the counter makes work slightly distracting!

The only downside to Dune is they didn't have outlets to charge :( My laptops sucks energy like I suck down a matcha latte, fast. I almost constantly need it plugged in. Also relying on solar energy in the van means I also need to charge my phone a lot. One recommendation Dune, outlets for everyone!

If you get the chance to visit Santa Barbara, do it. There is so much this beautiful Californian town has to offer. Besides amazing cafes, there's a winery on every corner and tons of wicked good restaurants to stop in.
