Love is Brewing: A Coffee Lovers Bridal Shower

There are two things about me that I absolutely love: food and a good theme. So when I get the chance to combine the two, I’m in my element.
When it came time to help plan my friends bridal shower, the theme “Love is Brewing” felt perfect. Both the bride and groom are huge coffee lovers, so it was an easy choice that also gave us lots of fun ways to bring the idea to life.

One of my favorite parts of the whole setup was the mug wall that my boyfriend and I built together. We filled it with thrifted mugs that doubled as décor and take-home gifts for guests. I love a detail that’s both cute and practical, and it made the display feel cozy and personal.
I also used thrifted mugs and teapots to create the flower centerpieces, which ended up being prizes for the games we played during the shower. It was such a fun way to keep the theme going while making sure nothing went to waste.

Of course, the food and drinks had to match the theme too. We set up a coffee bar featuring the bride and groom’s favorite coffee flavors, along with plenty of brunch food and desserts. Of course a coffee themed event isn’t complete without donuts, so we arranged those with diamond cupcake toppers to look like engagement rings. Everything was served with cute cups and plates that leaned into the “Love is Brewing” vibe, which made the whole table feel festive and pulled together.
It ended up being such a sweet way to celebrate the couple. There’s something special about a theme that reflects the people you’re celebrating, and this one felt warm, personal, and a little caffeinated.
